AdSweep Online Beta

12th January, 2010

I’m hereby releasing a beta version of the new online AdSweep. Seeing as it’s beta I haven’t had that much time to debug, so please send me bug reports through the usual channels. As for the YouTube ‘bug’, I’m going to include the code by default, please disable AdSweep on YouTube if you mind having to reload sometimes. It now has a button in the top-right, which allows you to disable it and download all the rules to cache.

I really recommend you download all the rules first by clicking the button, because this speeds it up rapidly. This new version can be downloaded here and of course I still expect a lot of bug reports. This install will not auto-update, so keep watching my blog for new versions, which will probably happen a lot. A site can be removed from the disabled list on the options page.

I guess you’re not really interested in bug reports, since you deleted mine. Oh well.

Any plans to update the opera version? I like to play with many browsers and the one feature i miss in opera is adblocking…

I’m using 4.0.249.89 beta (38071) of Chrome, I’ve installed your beta. Unfortunately there is no ability to get into the options page for this extension on the extension page in chrome. So how do you remove a site from the disabled list?

Also a nice feature in AdThwart is that you can add custom filters via its the option page in extensions. This would be a nice feature for AdSweep.

Thank you very much. It’s worth a donation (which I made).

    Best wishes from Germany,

Many thanks for Adblock list, home is in Opera10 folder in docs&settings branch with all the other current .ini and .adr files.
Adsweep installed as suggested appears not to work, no red notification top right on Adsweep page.
    regards, Ivan
